How it works
Help Advanced Soil is Aquatic Nature's contribution to the active aquasoil category. Baked clay pellets release a balanced macro/micronutrient profile and mild buffering. Available in two variants, Plus (higher nutrient content for planted tanks) and Shrimp (stronger buffering for Caridina).
Best use cases
European builders sourcing through local fish shops where Aquatic Nature has strong distribution. Neocaridina shrimp tanks at the Plus variant, Caridina tanks at the Shrimp variant. Low to mid-tech planted setups running liquid CO2 or pressurised injection at the lower end.
Common mistakes
Mixing variants in one substrate bed. Plus and Shrimp variants have different buffering targets, blending them creates a mid-range pH that satisfies neither plants nor shrimp optimally.
Pro tips
The substrate pairs naturally with Aquatic Nature's own dosing line. Their starter kits bundle substrate, dosing, and bacterial conditioner at a discount versus buying separately.
